Just recently openen, you can learn more about Sebastia’s history in the small Sebastia Museum located inside the compound of the Mosque of Nabi Yaha, i.e. the “Mosque of Prophet John”, the traditional burial place of St. John the Baptist.

The museum’s two rooms feature finding from archaeological excavations at the acropolis and inside the village throughout all eras including everyday objects and numerous artefacts of religious life.
